Okay, so here's the real deal: Yoga and I met at 35 – it was kind of a 'love at first pose' situation. But let's be honest, my wellness journey was more like a rollercoaster than a smooth ride for a while. I was constantly feeling…off. Think unexplained weight gain, hair playing hide-and-seek, energy levels in the basement, body aches that felt like a permanent roommate, and a brain fog that could rival a London pea-souper. Then, New Year's 2022 decided to give me a wake-up call – a literal face-plant into my house's brick wall. Yep, you read that right.
Turns out, that face-plant was a blessing in disguise! The MRI showed my thyroid did not look right, sending me on a wild goose chase for answers. And let me tell you, it was a chase! I had to assemble a dream team of doctors who were willing to dig deep. Goodbye, old docs! Hello, Hashimoto's and perimenopause – the plot thickens! But here's the silver lining: with my new squad, plus my trusty tools – nutrition, yoga, and breathwork – I've kicked those symptoms to the curb! I'm lighter, stronger, and honestly, feeling more vibrant than I did in my 20s. So, yeah, life throws curveballs, but we can totally hit them out of the park!"
